Parent Training
Helping Hands ABA offers parent training because family support is essential. We work closely with each family to create individualized treatment plans, which helps teach the skills each child needs to live a happy and healthy life.
As part of our training, your knowledge on Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) will increase greatly, which will empower you to work more efficiently and effectively in the home and the outside world We will provide parental support to specifically educate you on improving skills and behaviors based on your child’s diagnosis.
With ongoing supervision from New York Licensed Behavior Analysts, we also help family members deal with the stress of coping with the many challenges that exist with ASD. We offer one-to-one in-home parent training, as well as parental support groups. What’s more, this essential training and support will be available to you as part of the Applied Behavior Analysis program.
Supervision and Support
Our home-based providers are either credentialed through the BACBs® as RBTs®, or are pursuing an advanced certification as either Behavior Analysts or Assistant Behavior Analysts. Service providers receive continual hands-on training and supervision by our team of BCBAs® and attend monthly group collaboration trainings on relevant concepts, including professionalism, behavior management, and sensitivity among others.
